We are ready for another outstanding year for Pack 616. A lot has been going on while the boys have been going to back to school.

- 9/11 - (parents) Mandatory Kick-Off Parents Meeting at Parkway from 10:00 am - 11:30 am - at least one parent needs to attend as we have a lot of upcoming events and we need a lot of parental support to make this happen. We need to plan Rally Night, popcorn, camping trips, and fill other positions in the Pack. We need a lot of support. Den leaders please attend as well.

- 9/16 - (den leaders) Rally Night for New Cubs at Walker Station at 6:45 pm - We need every den leader (or if not then the Assistant Den Leader) that evening to help with recruiting night.

- 9/18 - (den leaders) Den Leader Meeting from 10 am - noon - location TBD - Danny will have a session to share and learn from each other to make your job even easier den leaders and assistant den leaders. Also, this is really important to bring new dens on-board successfully.

- 9/20 - (all) First Pack Meeting at PUMC, 6:45 pm - 8:00 pm - There was virtually unanimous support to got the second Monday of each month for our pack meetings. This one was pushed one week later as we wanted to include our new cubs from the Rally Night on 9/16. 

- 9/26 - 1st Annual New Territory Invitational versus Pack 38 - 1 - 5 pm at PUMC - We will be challenging Pack 38 to a pinewood derby race for the new trophy to be kept by the winning Packs cubmaster until next year. 
Everyone can bring their old cars and race that day. Note: Our regular Pinewood Derby will still be held in January, 2011.

Lets go off to a fast start this Fall. See you on 9/11 at 10 am at Parkway for the kick-off parents meeting!

Wahoo! Pack 616 is teaming up with Pack 38! This will be one fune event, we hope to see you there!

Time for our annual Bridging Ceremony on May 21st to promote our cubscouts to their next rank and celebrate the past scouting year's accomplishments!

All Pack 616 Cubscouts & families should gather in the Pecan Park area across the water from the Gazebo & Bridge at 6:30pm.

Scout Fair- the largest Scout Exposition in the country! Scout Fair is like Disney Land for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Amazingly, it will be held right here in the Houston area at Reliant Stadium, on Saturday, April 24th from 11:00 a.m, to 4:00 p.m.

Pack 616's Scout Fair Committee (chaired by Bobby McGoldrick) will be holding our own Scout Fair Booth- 'Weapons of Mass Distraction'. Come out and try out Pack 616's arsenal of secret weapons in the war against Boredom.
