Howdy PWD Racefans!!

Get ready for our Pinewood Derby next Saturday, March 6th at PUMC Gym.

Please refer to the schedule below for your scout rank's recommended arrival time (you may arrive earlier if you wish!). The only cars allowed to race are those checked-in on-time!!

This will give you plenty of time to get your car checked in and make any last minute adjustments (add/remove weight, secure wheels/axles) and have your car reinspected (as many times as needed).

Den 6 invites you and your cubscouts to come do the Hokie-Pokie at Skate Central

When: Thursday, March 11, 2010

Time:  from 6 pm to 8pm

Cost:  $5.50 - includes skate rental, skating, and pizza buffet!

This will be your whole family's and scout's opportunity to receive instruction from IISA level 2 certified instructor, Ed Veiseh - and to earn the rollerskate belt loop!

All scouts are encouraged to wear class A uniforms to this event!

Our Spring Campout will be held from April 9th-11th at Stephen F. Austin State Park. It is approx. a 45 min drive (near Sealy).

Campouts are the highlight of Scouting and are open to the whole family. Camping fees are covered by the pack; all you pay are the park entrance fees ($4 a day per person; children 12 and under are free).

This is an exciting event that will compete also with Bechtel Engineering Pin Day (for Webelos Scouts), BALOO and OWL training (for adult leaders wishing to lead a camp-out) and the Arrow of Light that evening for Webelos II (and the rest of the Pack). For what it is worth, the Hike ends up at 4:00 pm, well in time for scouts to make the Arrow of Light ceremony that evening.
