Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to be a leader (den & asst den, committee mbr, volunteer) and share in the scouting experience with our kids!!
I want to extend an extra "Thank You" to each of you that has completed training (Thank You, Gracias, Merci beaucoup, Danke schön, Dhanyawad, Xie xie, Duuuude)!!
Hope you all have knocked out most of your training (if not all of it!). For those still wondering, "When's that next class I need?", here's an upcoming training offering update:
Sat, Oct 17th, 9am-Noon: Cub Scout Adult Training (Cub Leader Specific I, II, III)
Location: Christ United Methodist Church, 3300 Austin Parkway
Cost: $10
From New Territory:
- Take Highway 59 North to the Sweetwater Blvd. Exit.
- Go right on Sweetwater Blvd. to Austin Parkway. Turn right on Austin Parkway.
- Christ Church is 3/10 of a mile on your right
(directly across the street from First Colony Middle School)
I just took this class a few weeks ago with some of the other leaders in our pack
(we had us some fun - "Rock, Paper, Scissors" - doh!!)
This class:
- Is required for all den & assistants den leaders
- Provides great info for den leaders & assistant den leaders on:
- planning & running den meetings
- helps with badges, rank achievements
- learning/sharing ideas with other leaders (new & experienced)
If you haven't already taken this, please plan to attend this training and knock it out!!

We're well on the way to achieving 100% of our leaders trained! Help us reach this goal before Jan 2010!!
