Pack/Parents Mtg. Schedules

Pack mtgs will be the third Monday of every month at WSE (7pm-8pm). Except as noted below, parents mtgs will be the first Monday of every month (6:30-7:45pm) at PUMC.

Due to a conflict w/ Labor Day and Rally Night, the September parents mtg will on Thursday, Sep. 6 at Dave Dratler’s house at 6:30pm.

Pack Leadership Positions

New leadership assignments are:

Treasurer  Archie Sullivan
Training Chair Gary Ray (Note, Gary volunteered after the mtg)

Will need to fill Awards Chair by Christmas.

Upcoming Events

Rally Night Scheduled for 7pm, September 10 at WSE. Karen Carothers is coordinating. Den Leaders need to attend.
September Pack Mtg Scheduled for 7pm, September 17 at WSE. Carl and Patti Sedita are coordinating.

Pack Calender

A couple of items were added to the calender:

• Popcorn Drive. Den 8/Bruce Hall is organizing.
• Fall campout, Nov. 3-4. Den 11/Carl Sedita will organize.
• Spring Campout, Apr. 4-5. Den 12/2/Gary Ray/Stan Adams will organize.

Additional calender items mentioned were:

• Toy Drive in December.
• NASA for Webelos in January - Karen Elkins
• Gary Ray/Den 12 volunteered to do Pinewood Derby in April. 
• Dave Dratler will update the pack calender w/ the items above, plus holidays, school events.

Training

• Bill recommended that new den/pack leaders take some of the upcoming courses offered by the district. There is a “Cub Leader Specific” course and a “New Leader Essentials” course.
• Also, I believe all den leaders should take Youth Protection Training (YPT) which is available on-line, if you haven’t already done so.
• The pack also needs someone else to take Baloo training. Believe we need 2 Baloo trained leaders at pack campouts.
• There may be an opportunity for one or more folks to take Wood Badge training this Fall.

Other

Connie T. passed out pre-ordered T-shirts. Extras have been ordered so new scouts and others can purchase at upcoming pack mtgs or by contacting Connie.
