On Friday 3/2, Den 12 went to the Rosenberg Railroad Museum in Rosenberg, Texas. Cub scouts learned about important facts about railroad safty via a video starring "Sly Fox & Birdie". We toured the museum and browse the hundreds of exhibits and artifacts, from maps & brochures, to telephone switchboard & traffic controller. ![]() Tower17 Outside the main building, there is Tower 17, the last traditionally operating interlocking tower in Texas and was decommissioned in 2004 after over a centry of service. Next to it is a 1879 Business Car, a fire truck and an activity center. The tigers got very excited when they saw the HO scale model railroad layout. It's simply "WOW". Covering 2/3 of a room (big!), it has cityscape, train station, refinery, mountains and tunnels. Last we all rang the bell (LOUD!) and went across the street for an ice-cream treat in cafe called "Another Time Soda Fountain & Cafe" ![]() Train Set Platform ![]() Train Station |
