Discussion Topics

Scouting for Food

We need someone to coordinate this. Dave will send an email to den leaders soliciting a coordinator. Note, Tomahawk website indicates we can request an area to collect from but this is not guaranteed. Deadline to register is March 24.

Scout Fair

Carl/Gary coordinating. Carl will register pack for booth. (Has since been completed.) Will send email to den leaders. Booth theme is astronomy.

Genius Kits

Planned for March Pack Mtg. Aditya Talwar is coordinating and distributed flyers at B&G. Still need list of awards for judges to use, awards themselves, and judges. Linda Preston will try to get girl scouts to judge. Need to follow-up w/ here.

Spring Campout

Planned for April 4-6. We have 5 sites reserved for Friday, and an additional 15 for Saturday. May need a volunteer to arrive early on Friday to acquire sites. Pack will pay all campsite fees. Families just need to pay entrance fees. Plan is for 4 30 minute activities on Saturday, geared to earning belt loops.

Pack Service Project

Planned for May 3. Kristi Azadi has agreed to coordinate. Ideas included helping w/ Eagle scout projects, possible the cemetery project in Troop 616.

Pinewood Derby

Learnings from PWD. Have hard check-in for all ranks prior to any races. Have one parent in charge of all pit passes.

Blue & Gold Banquet

Attendees felt this went real well. However, should ask FOS guy to not personalize envelopes next year. This was unnecessary but made distribution difficult.

PA System

There was some discussion as to whether this will really help at campouts. Kristi will look for plastic disposable microphones which may be more useful and cheaper.
