At our last pack meeting, you may have heard your sons talk about Pack Bucks. What are ‘Pack Bucks’?
Pack Bucks are being introduced to encourage attendance and keep the boys excited about attending Pack and Den events. - A Pack General Store will be set up at all Pack Meetings (prior to start of the meeting to encourage early arrival) where boys can redeem their “Bucks” for prizes. May also be offered at Pack Campouts or special functions.
- Prizes provided by the Pack can range from candy to inexpensive toys to Scout Shop items. Items can range from 1 Pack Buck (small candy or toy item) to 50 (or more) for larger items (Scout shop item or craft). Parents should approve of their sons’ purchases beforehand.
- Den Bucks are also being offered at the Den Level for attendance. Den Bucks are essentially the same as Pack Bucks, just distributed at the den level at the discretion of the Den Leader (usually for attendance).
- Boys can choose to spend or save their Bucks.
- Pack Bucks are not a reward system for Pack Service projects or Good deeds, but rather an encouragement for attendance and uniformity.
